SAT good enough for UCSC?

<p>This was my first time taking the SAT and I got a 1740. I'll retake in the fall.

M: 650
W: 580</p>

<p>I think your 1740 is good enough, but you’ll need at least 1200 for both CR and M. This year, UCs have become more selective so less people accepted out of an increasing number of applicants, and they seem to put more regard to your GPA and ECs.</p>
