SAT grammar problem

<p>After Gertrude Ederle had swam the English Channel, she was celebrated as the first woman ever to accomplish the feat.</p>

<p>I know 'swam' should be 'swum'.
But how about 'to accomplish', shouldn't it be 'accomplishing'?</p>
