has anybody else noticed that answer choices that contain adverbs such as "whereas", "inasmuch", etc are almost never correct? even if the adverb fits perfectly in context, ets states that it's an improper word. take today's qod for example. does anybody have an explanation for this?

Unlike is definitely a better word choice in this situation...but it does seem like "whereas" could fit. I am not sure. Whereas just sounds bad in any situation I think.
