hey! i wanted to apply to UPitt for pre-med, but i wasn't sure on one little thing.
I'm pretty sure i got a 680 on my SATII biology. will that hurt my chances of getting in, even though they don't require SAT IIs??? Will they look down upon it?

of course....

While a 680 isn't that bad a score, at a place like UPitt, it is. Just grab a few books-preferably PR- and study. Retake it in October and i'm sure you can pull off a 750+. Gl.

why is it considered bad @ upitt?

How is a 740? Everyone says 750+ but I got the dreaded 740 :(

Dude, it's Pitt. It's not that hard to get into, if you're applying as an undergraduate. 740 is fine. 680 is probably fine, even for the Honors program. A close friend of mine got into Pitt's Honor program last year with SAT II scores below that (caveat: he's Latino, so that may have helped him). I grew up in the Pittsburgh area, and trust me, you have to work hard to NOT get into Pitt.
