<p>Can those who have taken the Lit test post some key literary terms/stylistic elements that we should know going in? Thanks!</p>

<p>Some I picked up from the Kaplan's book are:</p>
<p>Apostrophe - a speaker's address to an absent human/nonhuman object
Metonymy - abstract whole represented by a concrete part ("the law" being represented by "the badge" per se
Anastrophe - inversion of a sentence to better suit a rhyme scheme/metrical rhythm</p>
<p>If you can, know all of the ones in Kaplan/PR review books. You never know which ones they will ask about, but it seems the most often ones are metaphors, similes, irony, apostrophes, and odes.</p>
