SAT II: Literature

I would say that if you love to read and have a passion for literature, you'll do fine on the test. The critical reading section on the SAT I is probably where I get my lowest score, but that might be because they throw in those science and history passages that I end up sort of wading through while what I really love is literature. I didn't study for it (it was the day after the APUSH exam) and my American Lit class at school is mostly memorizing vocab words but I was still able to get a 770. I think you'll do great if you love literature.

i did well on the may sat cr, and took ap eng language (thinking 5 on the ap), but i never took ap lit is that ok? im pretty good at reading and comprehending, but im just going to look over the poetry stuff. will i be ok?

What review book is best for SAT II Literature?

your CR SAT I score doesnt really indicate your possible lit score. I got a 770 CR with no studying ( i did take 2 practice tests though), but i had to take lit twice just to break 700

SAT II Literature tests skills that are somewhat different from those tested by critical reading...so it should be easier to improve on the SAT II Lit even if your CR score is not so terribly high<-- Is this right??

Also, my second question...what review books are good for preparing for the Lit Test??

Anyone know what I can expect if I am getting 750s on the Kaplan practice tests? I took the official CB test cold and got a 730...

If you got 730 on the CB test, I would expect a 730. It may be a bit lower b/c it's easier to take it @ home then @ the test center, but I think you're set for a 700+

Background info on me -I don't love to read, and I don't have a passion for literature. I only read books required for school because I don't have enough time for everything else. Also, my vocabulary is not good at all.

I took the SATII Lit in May and I got a 740. I'm really happy with my score, especially since I got 70 points lower (670 GASP) on the Critical Reading section of the SAT in March.
