Im in my junior year and i am currently taking Calculus AB as my math class. Last year in Precalc (and in all of my other math classes) I got straight A's so i figured the Math IIC was the way to go. I bought a book of 15 practice tests which people say are quite harder then the actual thing (thats a good thing though). Anyhow just wondering: How long would you say it will take a person like me, who understood the material easily, but might have forgoten about 40% of it, to get ready for the test? Is about a month of casual study enough? Like maybe an hour a day for 5 days a week? What are your opinions?

It took me a week, and I got 750 on real test.

Thanks for your response. I just realized there was a board specifically for the subject tests. I apologize.

Take a diagnostic first and budget your time for the sections you need to work on.

15 books??!!! if you easily understood the material then you should be similar to me. I bought one book with 6 tests, took three in a week, and got an 800. i believe that experience is the key. Once you are more used to the tricks/methods you are supposed to use, it becomes easy. good luck!

You misunderstand xanomalyx, I bought a book with 15 tests, not 15 books. I also have the Dummies and Princeton Review Books. What im seeing is that i need to review complex operations with trig functions more. And maybe buff up on 3d geometry and the 3d plane which i almost never worked with. I have a bit over a month... but i dont really wana do a lot of work... lol... Hopefully it will be more then enough time... I want to work on the weekdays and then totally chill on the weekends. Now that SATs are over I can do that... lol. Thanks for all who posted.

It's not a hard test, if you remember the basics and trig stuff, an 800 is not hard to get.

No prep and got a 780, was sick too. The math content is not difficult, you just need to learn to manipulate equations, learn to substitute a lot, etc.

only prepped with teh 10 real SAT II thingermerbob for 1.5 weeks and got an 800

i had a 730 before and took it again because i'm applying as a math major. Then i didn't study at all.

it was from that russian dude.

No prep, 800.

is everyone one here like…russian? because no prep 800 is pretty awesome and i know that the math they have in russia is like way more complex…hmmm

probability can always trip you up

Hey Parian, what’s the name of the book with 15 practice tests you bought? Thanx ^^

want to know as well.
