I've taken a look through the SAT II Physics practice questions and I've seen a lot of things on there that we haven't gone over in my physics class this year. I plan on taking AP Physics next year but since I'll be a senior next year I wouldn't be able to take the subject exam with enough time to send it to colleges. How hard would it be to self study for it (I plan on taking the exam on May 7) and how should I go about doing it? Like what books, study guides, or other material should I look at? Thanks in advance.

I plan on taking it too. I’m in AP Physics B right now but I’ve been reviewing the topics and a lot of them are quite different, in the sense that in AP Phys we deal with big numbers and long problems, but on the SAT II a lot of the problems just deal with basic formulas and concepts.

I’ve started studying just by looking at this guide on Sparknotes. I may buy one but I like this one right now because it goes over everything and is free.

Thanks a lot man!
Hopefully I do well on it by just studying with that and maybe looking through my basic Physics book for Pre-AP Physics since I haven’t found a study guide I like.
That SparkNotes one looks interesting though.

Okay so basically that sparknotes link is a life saver. On the physics SAT II there are 75 questions in 60 minutes so you’ll be doing very few calculations. Review that and you should be good.

Are you sure that there are very few calculations? I’ve heard that you have to memorize like 50 equations or something.

Edit**

according to Sparknotes a good amount of the test involves memorizing some sort of equation
