International student from Germany here, not bilingual.
I crammed the preparation in one week because I had to write essays, fill in application forms and study for the ACT and TOEFL at the same time.

Still got
750 Literature
750 World History

and am pretty amazed. Sure, it’s not perfect, but considering the circumstances, I’m more than happy with it—especially since I had such a bad feeling on lit because some of the vocabulary was really breaking my neck.
I did not really expect to score that high on World History either, even with its lenient curve, since I’ve been out of school for two years already and never had any history class in secondary school to begin with… my last one was in 9th grade.

Gotta thank Barron and their ridiculously hard practise tests for this, I guess :> never got past or even near 700 in any of these.

Omg omg omg. 710!! that was totally the score that showed up in my dream last name, yes I’ve stressing over this, and I thought I was being optimistic.
physics-710
math ii (may)-800

Math II - 780. Was aiming for an 800 but made a couple of silly screw-ups.
Physics - 670. Well, I had never studied Physics until I started self-studying for this test, so it’s kind of okay. But I was aiming for a 700+. Both fall short of my aims by some points but they’re still alright, I guess.

I suppose I’m not terribly upset because I thought I’d failed lit and I haven’t studied for bio in over a year, but isn’t it commonplace to get 800 on math? @_@ Blehhsthath6ue7ikufcju.

It was a random score… IDK why, but it was there. :)

@ retrospectively: I don’t think it’s commonplace to score an 800. It just depends on how things work out for you… Did you take the Math II section last? That might have ruined your doncentration.

I’m proud. I did pretty well overall. I don’t know if they’re good enough for the schools I REALLY want to go to, but they’re pretty darn good, I guess =]

@sapphiralily highfives back
it seems like not a whole lot of people took the december subject tests. only 5 pages of score replies? really? hmmm. i feel like i’m just spamming this thread. haha.

@retrospectively i agree with sapphiralily’s answer. just because many people you see on CC got 800, doesn’t mean getting scores other than 800 is bad. one of my friends who is applying to WashU got a 700, and he seemed pretty satisfied with it. that being said, i think a 720 is fine.

^ Agreed. A guy at my school recently got accepted to Cornell ED - he’d applied for a science/engineering related major - and he scored a 710 on his Math IIC test. I don’t think colleges will get hung up on the fact that you didn’t get an 800.

@ Mangomunky:
It’s only the beginning of today, so there probably will be more people later on. I’ll be stalking this thread until probably 12 or something (Pacific Time). And I do feel like I’m spamming this thread too. Lol. :D

And addition: I don’t think they would care unless you’re trying to be a math major or something…

i also had dreams, you guys. i dreamt i got a 380 on the Chemistry. so i was kind of relieved to wake up to my alarm at five and see that i got a 710. :D

^ That’s awesome, DMOC! I bet you were really happy to finally get your 800.

Unfortunately I’m not much of a math person, so I don’t have that kind of skill lol. I’ll just stick with my 760 Math II. Or I might attempt Math I since the problems are significantly easier (at least for me), even though it has a much harsher curve.

^ Aww, don’t say that! Remember, there’s always a score verification option if you think something’s amiss. I just requested it for my French score - you only have to call Customer Service, fill out the form they give you later, and pay $50. But if those scores are right, you’ll always have a chance to do better! Even if you’re a senior, there’s always January. (yes, schools DO accept January scores… I just found out about that)
