SAT II (which ones should I take?)

So far I've taken Chem and U.S. History. The history was horrible, to say the least. I plan on taking Chemistry again, but I'm not sure what other one I should take. I'm planning to go into science (bio, biomed, chem) in college, but I hear [some?] colleges prefer that applicants take 2 subject tests that are different from each other? So would it wouldn't be recommended to take Biology and Chem.?? If so, what other test would you recommend?
Thank you so much for your time!

The few colleges that want Subject Tests would want to see Math (usually Level 2) and any science. Just to be safe, take a humanities test - Lit, US History, World History, or any foreign language.

So, you could retake Chem, take a Math, and depending on the colleges you are looking at, a humanities.

Different colleges have different requirements, so make sure you have the right tests for the programs you are looking at.

thank you so much. I really appreciate the detail. =]

Most people take a Math II because like book_worm said, it's what colleges look for and taking (and doing well on) a humanities SAT II can only help. Lit seems to be the easiest humanities SAT II. If you buy a Barron's book you should be fine, it teaches you what you need to know and your score should be above a 750 after you do the entire book. But honestly, if you're just terrible at humanities, don't even bother. I have a friend who scored high on normal SATs, and his SAT IIs (math, chem, and bio) were all 780 or above but he got a 660 on Lit just because he wanted a humanities. Not worth it.

Good luck!

thanks alian3!!

and welcome to CC. feel free to stay awhile :)

So you took Chemistry and History, and the latter was horrible, and you're retaking the former?
