So, I'm wondering a bit. How much do subject tests weigh in on application decision? Will a lower score on SAT II lower the chances of being accepted into Tufts? What is the reason Tufts requires SAT II tests? If anyone can please clear this up for me, I would be much obliged.

If you have ACT with writing Tufts is not requiring SAT IIs

SAT II tests are one way for a college to judge how well your high school actually teaches the material and how familiar you are with a subject. So my comp sci guy for example with stellar scores in math and physics could show that he was ready for advanced material. My kid who wrote about an interest in history could confirm that with a high US History SAT score. Some schools give out A’s like candy.
