Firstly, does GW require SAT IIs? If not, is it disastrous not to send them in? I did decently well on the SAT I (2030) and want to send in that score, but I'm afraid I will ruin my chances if I don't do well on the Subject Tests and am forced to send them in.

Thanks in advance for any responses.

only required for special programs (honors, ba/md, etc)

So it’s not horribly bad to not send them in?

you should be fine as long as your gpa is ok.

I agree with GWAlum that SAT II’s are not necessary unless really good (>700) or for the above special programs.

You may want to verify with GW Admissions about SAT submissions. I know they don’t participate in “ScoreChoice” by the Collegeboard. What I don’t remember is if you submit ALL SAT results to GW (i.e. You are not using ScoreChoice) - will the collegeboard send the SAT II results also?

Something to verify to make sure your SAT II scores are not inadvertantly sent to GW.

@GW Alum
I think my GPA is fine; SAT IIs were my only real concern, thank you.

Thank you for bringing that up. That’s a legitimate concern; I’ll ask my college counselor about it.
