SAT March 10 2012

*correction, x=8
I remember it had to be 10x + one extra group of 6, so yeah, 86.
The other part was 11x + 5.

You’re probably right. A common misconception is probably to do 24 * (2/3) and 24 * (3/2) to see if they both produce integers

What was the last question of writing section 10? About arrival, bori bori or something

I was stuck between When arriving, upon arival, and when one arrives

When one arrives

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/sat-preparation/1301190-march-2012-sat-i-math-thread-11.html

Yeah…i think peremptory was the right answer…not superlative

Yeah…i got 35 for the 2:3 ratio one

what do you guys think you got?

M: 750
R:720
W:730

For a question in the Chinese aunt passage, when she talked half in chinese/half in english to the girl, I chose she was insistent on the girl learning Chinese heritage. The other choice was she was curious about the world around her or something

No, it was not when one arrives. The answer didn’t incorporate ‘one’ or ‘upon’.

And amazon, I chose your second option, but I was unsure as well.

Curve Predictions? -1 = 800 math???

Did anyone have the experimental writing section? Can you tell me something about it because I can’t remember exactly what was on which section… I bombed one of the sections and got like C’s for half of the answers

what was the answer to question that was 4y>10
X>4y
And it asked for lowest possible value of x.
I think I put 11.

What were the vocab words

@kore
I got almost half Cs on the real writing section (CR experimental.)

11 was correct

If I didn’t get perfect on math, I will go crazy. I don’t think I did too well on the other parts so I’m hoping for atleast a 2200

can someone collaborate all the answers for reading passages?
chinese one
space
double passage about electoral votes/??

With the current comments I’ve read so far for math, I definitely expect a curve of 100 points or more for missing one question… It was FAR too easy.
My friend’s test (last year) was curved 120 points, causing her to get a 680 when she only missed one question.

oh and, for the quadrilateral question, the answer was definitely four.

and i solved it with algebra to make sure,
but the easiest way was to realize that the two triangles were EXACTLY THE SAME DIMENSIONS and thus form a rectangle with the dimensions 4 x1… LOL five second question

oh but as far as curves go, my expected curve of -100 only applies to like the first five questions… the ones that almost no one misses.
