How are you guys preparing for the March test?
Do you think it will be a lenient or difficult curve?
Do you know where I can get old practice SAT tests from online?

Lots of people have said that the March SAT is usually the hardest.
I’m debating whether or not I should take it, seeing as I got a good score from the January 28th one…
You can buy the blue SAT book from Collegeboard and solve those-- they are legit SAT questions that Collegeboard writes itself. Or you can go on the collegeboard website and solve the practice test on their website.

Omg I just had to read
I was shooting for 2300+ and I really don’t want to take it again!

So even though the test may be really hard.
Will the curve be very very favorable? Like ex. -1 or -2 in math is 800?

I just hope it’s medium.

I’m contented with my math and writing, but I really want a superscore of 2300+, so I’ll have to raise my CR another 150 points or so.

Are you taking the March test?

No way will math be -1 or -2 = 800. That would be a very easy curve. Not possible.

Since the test has a possibility of being hard, then the curve will be in our favor so maybe then in math, -1 = 800, while -2 = 780 or 790.

I thought the curve worked like this:

Hard Test = Favorable Curve
Easy Test = Strict Curve

Is anyone doing any last minute prep for the March 10th SAT test?

For -1 to be an 800, the test wouldn’t really be in your favor, the difficulty of the questions could very likely throw off your perfect score. Even “hard” tests aren’t usually -1 800 so expect really hard problems if you’re hoping for -1 to be 800. And -2 is almost neeever 780 (almost).

Anyway, yea, I’m studying DH book 2 atm as last-minute prep… I need to bring my reading up !!

So, are you thinking the January test was easier or harder than the March test will be?

I believe the March test will be harder than the January 2012 test.
What was the curve for the January SAT 2012 test?
I also need to bring my reading comprehension score up.

1 week left
Who’s ready?

xD
Good luck to you all!
(And me too!)

WHAT? March test will be harder than the January test? are you guys talking about the curve or the actual exam?
freaks out

The test is as hard as you make it. If you are not good at math and don’t practice, then it will be hard, same for CR W. Don’t think about as being impossible because that will only hurt you.

I’m hoping the Math won’t be too hard. I can handle CR and W just fine, but Math always is my lowest score. Gosh, why can’t the SAT cover pre-calc? I hate the math questions they use.

Hopefully math won’t be too hard. I need to do well on critical reading.
Do you guys have any tips for critical reading?

I’m upset at myself for not being better prepared for math. Shame on me. I’m going into this expecting a 650 in math… :|

@smartdude101 i took a kaplan class and they said for the CR to “passage map” so you basically jot down main points to each passage on the long readings, and look at the questions after, for short passage look at them first and for the ones that are two passages read passage one, answer questions about it, then read passage two and answer those questions specifically for two and then answer the ones that pertain to both. hope that helps!
