SAT Math Help!

Alright. So I plan on taking my SATs early, this coming October of my Sophmore year. I'm aiming for a 2300. So far my CR and Writing are high enough to achieve an 800 by October (I am also attending a super intense SAT camp this summer to prepare).

However, my math sucks. It's just plain bad. I've never been much of a logical thinker. The highest I've ever scored was 580 and that was because the questions were rather easy. My worst was a 440 (I panicked half way through the test). So obviously I'm not very consistent, let alone good at it. And although this isn't too relevant, I also happen to be Asian which means my parents are stressing out like crazy. My whole family is fantastic at math and lived most of their lives in China. Besides me.

Any tips to boost my score?

I had an awful teacher for Algebra 1 so I not only lack some of the content knowledge, but also have terrible logic and am prone to careless mistakes. As you can see, that's a pretty bad mix.

Absolutely the best way to study for the math would be to do as many questions as possible. You will start to realize that you seem to get the same types of questions wrong every time (or at least I did). Then, learn how to do those. Get a book made specially for Math SAT I. DO EVERY PRACTICE QUESTION YOU CAN GET YOUR HANDS ON!!! I would get around 650 every time, but after practicing like crazy I pulled off an 800. Just practice practice practice! I would try to do an entire math portion every day until the test. That might be overload, but it will definitely help! Good luck!
