SAT Math Help

Can anyone help me with this question? I know the answer, and I know how they got to it. It just doesn't seem right to me...
This coordinate plane shows two
functions of x.
• f(x) is an increasing linear function.
• g(x) is an increasing exponential function.
This is the picture: <a href="http://i.imgur.com/av5lrQQ.png">http://i.imgur.com/av5lrQQ.png</a>
Based on the information, which
statement is true for all real values of the
domain x≥0?
A f (x) =g (x) for only one value in the
domain
B f (x)=g (x) for many values in the domain
C f (x)>g (x) for all values in the domain
D f (x)<g (x) for all values in the domain
The answer is A. It is true they will equal eachother only once in the RANGE not the domain, they have all values in the domain the same. Am I just wrong or is this wrong? The domain is the x from left to right.. Range is y from up and down and they will only equal each other once in the Range, am I not right?

Well it blocked it. just put imgur com / then the letters

Well first, this question is poorly written, possibly written completely incorrectly, and maybe has a poor picture associated with it.

Next, the question itself doesn’t make sense. Perhaps it should say: Each function is restricted to the domain {x | x ≥ 0}. Based on the given information, which statement is true?

In this case the answer would be choice (C). (just look at the picture)

If the question was : A partial picture is shown. Each function is defined for all real x. Based on the given information, which statement is true?

Then the answer would be choice (A). In this case there is one point of intersection in the second quadrant. This is a point (x,y) where y = f(x) = g(x).

@DrSteve Thanks. I knew this was a poor example if a question. The sad thing is that it was on an official state mandated test giving to high schoolers in a certain math course.
