When I do the SAT Math questions on my own, I usually only miss/skip 1 or two, but when I take the SAT, I miss 7 or 8. I understand all the math and the concepts covered. I think this is simply a matter of test-taking ability or something I'm overlooking.

Does anyone have SAT Math tips?

practice practice practice! for math, it doesnt matter what prep book you use. if it's too hard--good! if it's too easy--well, you'll speed through the first few questions and be able to devote time to the last few toughies. time management is really the key for SAT1 math. take a look at your practice tests--they might be too easy, and also do examine the questions you miss: what kind are they? circle geometry (those are popular high-difficulty SAT questions)? average questions? time/distance/rate problems? probability? review these hot-button question types and you're fine.

That's the problem. There's absolutely no pattern to the problems I miss. I've worked through this packet called "The 50 hardest SAT Math Problems Ever".....but I don't know why...I'm still stuck at one place.

um, how about you practice the problems in the college board official practice book (the blue book) ?

dont worry about the specific problems. learn the concepts behind every single problem you missed in your packet. master everything!

Did the blue book.

Lol, thanks for your replies Jimbob
