<p>Not at all. The SAT math involves a lot of algebra I and geometry while SAT II involves a lot of precalc. They are completely different in the type of questions they ask, it would be wise to practice some SAT Math problems from the BB or online to get a feel for what they are going to be like.</p>
<p>No, preparing for the SAT Math II does not prepare you for SAT I Math.</p>
<p>The questions of the subject test are much more concept-specific whereas the SAT I Math are much more “general”. I’ve found it that some of the hard level questions on the SAT I MATH are very much harder than SAT Math II because they often involve thinking creatively. </p>
<p>That being said though, anyone who is confident of taking SAT Math II should be pretty capable of SAT I Math.</p>
