I am taking the June SAT in a few weeks and i am shooting for a 800 in math and an 800 in writing.

I had a 640 in math and a 680 in writing on my first SAT.

Does anyone know any really good strategies to prepare for the SAT writing and more importantly the SAT Math (advice the days before the test or even during the test)?

I am aiming for a 1530 CR + M score and i know i will fair well on the reading (770 last time) but math has always been tricky for me. Right now i am missing 4 or 5 a section :(. Any pointers?

For me I got an 800 M my first time without any prep really. But then again I didn’t miss any on the PSAT either (77 :()

My advice:
know your concepts
re-read the problems to make SURE you know what they are asking
check every single answer you can in your calculator

And then for me, I know a lot of people don’t do this or recommend this, but I check every answer after I work the problem. So do number one, then check it (go through answer choices, etc), then number two, and keep doing that. If you can work fast then it’s good, because I always end up with ~10 minutes at the end to focus on the hard problems w/o having to worry about the easy ones.
