I took both the SAT and ACT and SAT subject tests.
Here are my pretty bad results, I am just a bad at these kind of tests. Argh.

SAT:
Maths-710
Reading -510
Writing-580

ACT
ENlgish-29
Maths -34
Science-33
Reading-24
Composite-30
Writing- still waiting

Took SAT bio, literature in November, so dont know about the scores yet.
Should I forget about my SAT scores, and just send in my ACT scores? I know my reading sucks, but I do not have time to take it again.
And if I wanna send in my SAT II scores, does that mean the colleges are able to see my SAT I scores too?

PLEASE HELP!! THANKS!!
and good luck to everyone =]

According to college board, 30 ACT corresponds approx. to a 1330-1350 SAT so your ACT score is better. You should send it, even though colleges will also see your SAT1 scores when you send the SAT2 scores. It can only help you.

No brainer! Send ACT scores
According to wikipedia an ACT Composite of 30(96%ile) is roughly equivalent to an SAT score of 1980 which is better than a 1800 SAT score (87%ile) or the equivalent of a 27 on the ACT
plus your ACT math score is in the 99%ile!
you want to showcase that rather than a 710 ( 91%ile)
your science score on the ACT is also 99%ile
so I would definitely go with the ACT

wait to see your SAT 2 scores - only consider sending if they are REALLY good to make up for SAT 1. Because colleges will see both.

check with your schools also. some may have policy to consider either SAT or ACT depends on which score is better. Will make it easier for you to make decisions about which scores to send to which colleges. For example, Connecticut college put a lot of emphasis on ACT and SAT 2, but they don't care much about SAT 1.

The ACT score percentile really seems weird to me. I mean it seems to me that it's harder to get a high percentile on the SAT than on the ACT. Even though I did better on the SAT, my ACT percentile was better. I guess the SAT is just more popular.

^^Ignore the % -- remember, that the vast majority of colleges superscore the SAT. And, yes, the SAT is more popular, but barely. Last year approx. ~1.6 million kids took the SAT, and ~1.5 mill took the ACT, but the ACT-testers are growing faster than SAT testers. (Of course, of those millions, many could have taken both tests.)
