Sat prep

Sat prep is a joke.
I don't think you should have a coach or take classes to take a test.
It's the rich kid advantage.

Got news for you coached kids and repeat test takers o......once you get to college your mediocrity will show.

I'm tired of listening to counselors advise kids and parents to spend time and money on this test

Be who you are
Do something significant and purposeful
It's not about a test...it's about your life.

Stop bragging and start caring about who you are not what ypu score..I hate fake smart people.

Agree with the OP to an extent.

I do not believe in SAT Prep as an isolated incident. II always take the holistic approach when working with students, helping them with test taking, academics, college admissions, and general mentoring. SAT Prep by itself may be helpful to some, but I have seen many instances in which it has been a total waste of money.

The sad truth is that the test prep industry is a money-grubbing and overinflated. I have seen people charge upwards of $200 for a tutor that didn’t yield any measurable results. The only reason this is the case is because people are willing to pay that much money for false hope. The only way this will change is when people stop paying, which won’t be any time soon.

After all, college is for “rich” kids. You don’t have to go to a class to prep for the test. But if you cannot afford any test preparation, you can’t afford college. No one should take a test without studying. Find your way to learn about the standardized test. It would be stupid to take these tests cold unless you don’t care about acceptance and merit aid.
