SAT preparation

I have taken SAT in may and I got a score of 1970 (Cr:600,M:740,W:630).I am an international student and I prepared only one month and achieved this score.I used Barrons workbook for writing for preparation in writing section and just practiced tests in SAT official study guide second edition for critical reading and maths sections.I am going to take the test again in November. So can I get a score of 2300 in that test. What books should I need to refer to improve my scores.I am willing to spend 6 hours/day for SAT preparation. Please advice me how to prepare and what books to prepare.

Thank you.

Please don’t spend 6 hours a day studying for the SAT. Buy one of the books that is exclusively practice tests and just keep doing sample questions. Use the general books to learn methods of attacking questions. Subscribe to the SAT question of the day (you can do so on the college board website) which is really helpful because they give you detailed explanations of the right answers. And remember that anything above a 2200 is fine for any university.

No, dont study that much. that much will wear out your brain. study 1 to 2 hours a day. the blue book by college board is really good and realistic.

Yes the blue official book is much reliable. Get hold of that, costs around 1400 IC I guess… Cost shouldn’t worry you, the book is a total worth! good luck for october 6th

I really don’t think you need to study 6 hours a day. o_o Just try to figure how you’re getting the problems wrong/right and go over them throughly. Most of the material on the SAT isn’t that hard, but it can get tricky.
From personal experience on most questions on the CR MC section, if the passage doesn’t prove it, it’s not the answer. Direct Hits is supposed to be good for vocab according to some people on CC. For Writing, the Sparknotes SAT guide is pretty good for going over grammar rules. And as previous posters have stated, CB’s Blue Book is awesome.
I wish you the best of luck! :)

I got the blue book.If any other good practice books are available please tell me.Thank you very much
