Okay I'm taking Jan. 27 SAT in a week. I'm pretty nervous and OK at the same time because I've been through these big tests before. Anyway, my school is offering the next SAT at our school (for Jan. SAT, I'm driving an hour to test center) but the deadline is Feb. 2, a week after my SAT.

I think that it takes about 3-4 weeks for your scores to show up in the online. Well, I'm not sure if I should register for SAT anyway even I get good score. Like if I get good score, I can cancel the test right? I'm not sure what's the consequence for that though. Any idea?

Also, if I do take it, do my SAT scores get averaged? Or they pick the best? Or they view all? I use "they" here to refer colleges. Thanks!

I don't think there would be any bad conseq, u should be able to cancel ur test date and that wouldn't be known by anyone except u and the CB.

you should be able to cancel the test. the only thing is I would definitely check the collegeboards website to see if they refund your registration fee.
but colleges won't see it or anything like that.

I think I'm going to register for it. Thanks.

But speaking of test day, is it necessary to put your social security number in your test? Like I don't really use it now since I"m a student but I just realized today that there is a line for social security number in the test answer sheet. What happens if you can't remember and not write it down? Will you be in trouble?

I don't think it's a problem... when I took the test about half the people in the room said they had no idea what it was... so they probably have a lot of tests without them.

SSN doesn't matter a lot, skip it if u want. I was just wondrn' TheVeganActrees, do CB really give one a refund? If they do is there a time limit, like u've to apply for the refund before the test date or sth like that?
