On Midd's profile on Collegeboard it says: "SAT scores report due:01-Jan".

Does it mean the scores must be submitted or received by that day?

^ I am in the same predicament. When colleges ask for score deadlines, what does it actually mean?

Oftentimes I wonder why such important process as college admission uses such ambiguous terms and can't be precise.

Because it takes three weeks to grade the tests and another two weeks to deliver the scores to schools, Midd would have to accept no more recent than the November scores. That, in my opinion, does not make sense.

I just made a little research and found out that Harvard will accept scores from the January SAT (that takes place on the 26th) while its scores report due date is 1-Feb.

Yes, it's crazy, I know. But once those tests are scanned and checked, the scores are immediately and electronically sent to schools.

Also, please note that rushing your scores doesn't help you in any way either. Do you know anything about ED and RD acceptance rates, deferral rates at middlebury?
