The FOIL program won’t work if you’re dealing with 2 variables, so beware!!!

Also, I think that memorizing the formulas instead of using calc programs is much better. It usually saves valuable time on the test, and besides, the math section isn’t that hard anyway.

erasmus… it doesn’t save time with stuff like distance formula especially where you’re working dilligently on that stuff to avoid + or - plus. So it helps for some things. This isn’t to override memorizing basic formulas but it helps for certain things that take a while and helps you avoid careless mistakes.

If something is in quotes, that means it shows you that when the program runs i.e. it it just references for you. like for the quad solver, it says discr = which tells u wut the discriminant is, just incase u need simplest radical form.

How is this cheating? You are allowed to have anything on your calculator during the Math section. Personally, all I have is quad program and foil, but anything is allowed.

@briguy: it gives you the sum of all numbers from 1 to a number S.

programming things is my favorite way of doing well on math contests. sometimes I can’t figure out the answer on very difficult questions and I just start programming like mad during the contest haha. it’s freaking awesome.

anyone else have requests? I feel bored and I want to write some. I write games too, but they’re too long to post.
