I am applying to architecture schools for fall 2012 entry... I have 3.5 gpa, top 10 % of the graduating class. Sat 1 scores are 500 cr, 720 m, 600 w. Sat subject tests are math 1c 750, math 2 c 770, french 730... Have a very good portfolio a published book, good extra curriculars, community service ...

Whuch school do you think i can get into
Univ at buffalo, pratt, risd, virginia tech, yale, princeton, upenn, cornell, rpi, sci-arc, uc berkeley, umich....

Are you an international student? If yes, from where? Is English not your first language? Will you be asking for financial aid?

Right now, I can tell you based on what you’ve written here that the following schools would be highly unlikely just given your scores: Yale, Penn, Princeton, Cornell, Berkeley. Even if they give you a break on the CR score it would have to be over 600 and your math score is not competitive for these schools.

I’m assuming English isn’t your first language, but either way, your CR and writing are much too low for any of the ivies. Berkeley and UMich would also be HUGE reaches.

I think for a reasonable chance you need to go to schools like Syracuse, U Cincinnati, Penn State and Kansas state which are good architecture schools where you would have a shot.

I see how objectively you evaluate chances, so I would very like you to try to chance me, too.
So, I am an international student, not applying for financial aid.
My SAT scores: M - 790; R - 530; W - 690 (I have taken the test 4 times)
SAT math level 2 - 800
GPA: 4.0 - the highest a student can earn in my country.
Please chance me for UCLA, Berkeley, UCSD, NYU, U of Virginia
