I'm getting paranoid. Although Harvard is not my first choice, I'm applying. And my SAT scores freak me out. Yeah, they're not the only variable that decide wether or not a guy gets accepted, blah blah..

But how do Harvard's intl admits score on the CR and W sections? (Those who are not native speakers and don't attend english speaking schools). I got a 710CR and 650 (bah, 10e) on the W. Are we still expected to churn out perfect 800's, or do people get away with 500's?

I'm in the same situation and was wondering the same thing. Maybe they attach more importance to the Test of English as a Foreign Language? Because beating English speakers on their own grounds is pretty impossible.

At least we can hope to get a very good score at one SAT subject test by choosing our native language.

No, you're actually not supposed to take the SAT2 in your own language...

Where are you guys from? How did you do in the SAT1 math section?
Do you also struggle in math/physics although you rule the **** out of math in you own country?
(You can tell me all you want, but the language barrier does also exist in science...)

I'm from northern Europe.. I only got a 680 math. Which is intimidating since I got an A in the hardest calculus course offered in my country... Anyway, I keep scoring 750+ on the Math Level 2, so I don't think I need to retake the SAT I. 680 is low, though. Especially for an intl applying to these schools.

Oh sorry about that. Then I believe it is really hard to get in when English is not your first language...

I'm from the French part of Canada. I have not taken any SAT yet (only applying next year). For what I remember, I'm in the top 2% of my province (probably around 5% in country) in math, and top 1% in English as a second language. But still...
