I applied to UMD- submitted transcript, recs, and application well before deadline, but accidentally sent SATs to UMUC and realized too late. I rushed my scores to UMD 2 days before the deadline for EA (11/1/17) and they were received today (11/4/17). The website says that scores received after the deadline are not GUARANTEED to be considered, meaning that my application will be pushed to regular decision (which I definitely will not be accepted through). Has anyone else done this before? If it was only 3 days late is there a chance it will be considered EA?
You have to call the school. Even if 20 other people had submitted scores late and they were accepted doesn’t mean that your late scores will be accepted.
Call and make sure they have them. The computer may automatically reject all applications that are not completed by the deadline. Yours may need to be hand processed.
I think if you explain the UMUC issue they might understand. Plus, lots of data seems to take a while to hook up with the applications, like letters of recommendation, so hopefully they will still be organizing everything. Good luck!
You should be fine. Supporting documents have to be “postmarked” by the deadline. If scores were received 11/4 they will know you requested them prior to the deadline.
