Hello, My son took two SAT subject tests on October 5. Everyone he knows received their scores on October 18. (however, they all took the regular SAT, not subject tests). The College Board said they are “investigating” where his scores are and will get back to me, but it’s been 6 days. Has this happened to anyone else, and if so what was the outcome? Whenever I call Customer Service I get nowhere. They stick to a script and will not transfer me to someone with any information or decision making authority. We are freaking out because he needs these scores for one app that was already submitted and for an ED that is due 11/1.
My son took one subject test on 10/5 (that’s it- no SAT) and got his score on 10/18. I hope they get to the bottom of where his scores are!
Thank you. Has this happened to anyone else, and if so what was the outcome?
If you search the forums, there are reports of delayed scores on pretty much every test date. With tens/hundreds of thousands of documents, there are always glitches. A vast majority of the time these work out in a week or two. Rarely, the test documents are lost or there are irregularities that require investigation.
It’s absolutely a frustrating and worrying situation to be in, but I don’t recall any strategy that got scores back earlier other than just waiting.
Did you ask the college board to submit his scores directly to the school? Perhaps contact the school to which your son had already submitted an ED app and see (plead?) if they would wait for his scores, if necessary. There is still time, as Nov 1 is a full week away.
