SAT Subject Test Help (Math II and Bio E/M)

Hey fellas.

I got my Math II and Bio E/M tests on 3rd of December, and that’s about 13-12 days from now. I haven’t opened a single book yet, but I do have Princeton Review’s bio and Barron’s Math.

That being said, I’m an international student and I study A levels in Bangladesh. In both math and bio, we learnt and are learning much more complex stuff than what’s tested in the subject tests. However, I still want to review for the subject tests as they are unique and there are several things I didn’t come across before.

What’s the best thing I can do with this time now guys? I’m in the 700-750 range and I’m hoping to secure the 800 for both tests. All advice will be very much appreciated. Thanks!

Help out a brother…

I would suggest getting a review book from Princeton Review, Kaplan, or Barron’s just to familiarize you with the structure of the exam and to get a benchmark score; albeit, I am not sure if this is an option in Bangladesh, given the obvious shipping constraints.

Right, I will do so tonight. I already have the PR and Barron’s book, so hopefully that will do. Thank you!

The problem I have seen with students from Asia is that the HS math they are doing is MUCH higher level than the SAT math…and they may have forgotten how to do the easier math. So focus on reviewing the topics you have not done in a long while - even if they are “easy” topics.

Thank you, I will most definitely do so.
