My son took 2 SAT Subject tests on October 11 and he just got the results. Math2 = 800 and Spanish = 700. I'm concerned that his Spanish score is the lowest of all his SAT scores so far; should he retake it? On the other hand, he's not a native speaker, so maybe 700 is pretty good? I'm not sure what to think, or how much a score like that will really affect his chances at good schools. He is really hoping for Stanford or Duke, although how much we would have to pay at either of those schools is still a complete mystery, so we are applying to a large number of safeties and matches too, in order to hopefully have a few affordable choices in the spring. Is a 700 in Spanish good enough, when combined with other higher scores? What do you think?
