Does the college board book really help in the subject SAT or is it useless? I’ve heard that even the college board book for the normal SAT sucks too. Anyways, should I buy the subject SAT college board book?
@blingblingshing It has only one practice test for each subject. So if you want to figure out which tests might be best for you, it’s potentially useful, but not if you’re looking to prepare for a specific test.
The College Board site also has practice questions for each test (about 20 per test) so you can get an idea of content. So that might be a more cost effective alternative.
If you buy the test books specific for the subjects you are planning on taking, collegeBoard gives you two previously administered subject tests. The books don’t provide you with tips specific to content or anything, but I found them very accurate depictions of what the actual tests will look like.
Go to your local library to see if there’s a copy of the book in their catalog. Otherwise, maybe you can ask around to see if others have a copy they don’t need it anymore. It’ll be a lot cheaper.
