SAT Subject Tests: HELP WANTED!

They give a very vague description of the SAT Subject Tests on collegeboard.com. I just need some tips on how to prepare for it, what to study, any books you recommend??????? I'm planning on taking Lit, French, French with listening, and World History. I'm in Canada so I'm doing this on my own for the most part. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Get a good prep book and study. I don't think you can exactly study for the Literature, as it really depends what type of literature they put on the exam.

I studied entirely on my own and did pretty well. Get the prep books and Sparknotes has some pretty awesome test prep online as well for lots of subjects.

I took literature as well and I definitely benefitted from studying a bit and taking practice tests and ended up doing very well on it, which I don't think I could have done without prep beforehand.

Thanks a lot guys! Any thoughts on where I can get the prep books? What about French and World History?

could someone move this to the sat ii forumn?

If you read at all and did English at school you don't really need to prepare for Literature. I wouldn't take French unless you are particularly good/native speaker. They target a lot of specifics, and you need to have a pretty wide range of vocabulary to do well. I'm not entirely sure about all the prep books because I've only used Barrons for maths (bad idea), but I've been told that Princeton Review is good for the basics (if they do SAT IIs, I don't know..) and Barrons is good for touching up, getting those last marks. A lot of it is really down to practicing papers though.
