SAT subjects with the ACT test with Writing

Hello All. I had a question about the college admission, especially about submitting the standardized test scores.

I know a lot of questions like mine had been posted, but here we go:

Do I HAVE to submit the subject test scores with the ACT w/ Writing scores?
It says in this link (<a href="http://www.compassprep.com/admissions_req_subjects.aspx">http://www.compassprep.com/admissions_req_subjects.aspx</a>)
"The ACT may be submitted in lieu of the SAT and Subject Tests.", so I was really.. really confused... :(

P.S. I do know that some colleges recommend you to submit the subject test scores as well, even though you are submitting the ACT score. If you know of such colleges, please inform me.

A lot of thanks:)

I believe that most colleges require the writing if you are submitting the ACT. However, I would check on the admissions page of the individual schools you are looking at.

Some schools use SAT Subject Tests for placement in classes. Davidson College does not require you to submit them, but they highly recommend doing so and made that very clear in their admissions session.

What you quoted does mean that the schools with that asterisks will take the ACT in place of the SAT and Subject Tests. In my experience however, it HAS to be the ACT WITH Writing. You should check directly with the school to make sure.

Thanks for your tip. Yes, I emailed the colleges on my list and its admission office, and they have different policies.
