I was wondering if I could not sit the SAT I test and just take the subject tests. I would submit my ACT with writing instead of the SAT I. But is it required to take the SAT I to take the subjects?

Yes, that’s fine. You can’t take both in the same sitting anyway. Many students in the Midwest only take the ACT and then take subject tests for schools that require them. I had two sons do that and both were accepted to MIT so they evidently didn’t have a problem with it either.

Thank you for responding! Nice to know, because I really don’t want to have to study for yet more testing :)

How about this. Can you submit all your ACT scores and just one SAT 1 score or do you have to submit all your SAT 1 scores if you submit one of them?
