SAT Superscore

Hey everybody,

I know that some schools let you take the SAT several different times and submit only your best scores from each test in your application. Does Cornell let you do that?

I just took the SAT and I did pretty well in Math and Writing but not so great in Reading. I want to know if I have to do as well in the other categories, or can I just focus on Reading (I'll still try to do well on the others, but just in case something happens and I score lower on them, I want to be able to just submit my best scores).

Hi Even with score choice you send all SAT reasoning scores from a given date not just by section. SAT subject tests can be sent by individual test. That being said Cornell does not participate in score choice. Cornell requires ALL SAT scores to be sent. Good luck

They require ALL SAT scores to be sent?!? So even if I take it three times and score well on two but poorly on the third, they’ll see all three of them?

yes Cornell requires that you have all scores sent. they say they consider the highest from each section

Hmm. Do the other parts of each score have any effect on their decision?

They say they consider the highest sections so I guess we shall see
