I have by chances submitted wrong test date on common application. I took test on 1st dec 2018 but mistakenly typed 2019. What should i do now? Can it have any impact on my application?? Kindly tell me immediately. I m worried.
First of all, this is a completely understandable and reasonable mistake. It’s one number in a 12-page document, which is very easy to miss when proofreading, and admissions officers will recognize that. Besides, I’m sure they see this sort of thing quite frequently, so it’s unlikely that this will any negative effect on your chances of admission. That said, they probably will want to know when you actually took the SAT, so I would email the admissions office(s) of the college(s) that you’ve applied to and inform them of the error.
Colleges will understand because a lot of people tend to make mistakes on these types of things. I highly recommend emailing and calling the admissions offices of your schools just to be safe.
If you sent an official score report to the college, they’ll have the actual test date either way so it shouldn’t matter. And if you didn’t, I wouldn’t worry because they probably won’t even notice.
