I know the test is in two days, but I have some writing questions that I’m unsure of. Can someone tell me the right answer and reasoning behind the answer? Also, others can post their writing questions on here as I’ll try to provide some help.
- Along the curve of islands known as the Florida Keys lies a reef of living coral, the only one of a kind in the continental United States.
I know “a kind” is wrong here, but how would one fix it?
- Some people believe that one day (correction from here) we will establish not only bases on the Moon, but also a landing on Neptune will occur.
B) not only bases on the Moon will be established, but also a landing on Neptune will be made.
C) we will not only establish bases on the moon but also land on Neptune.
Right answer is C but I don’t know why.
@sharkshockey the answer is c because of parallelism. u want both to match. so it is establish bases on the moon, and land on neptune.
also the coral reef question - “lies a reef of living coral” its a bunch, so u dont use a kind, but “the only one of its kind”
