SATII Chem

What information is given to you for the test (e.g., periodic table, equations, etc.)?

periodic table only.

In that case, are there any equations that are must-knows?

i dunno wat u consider as must knows, cos if i'm not wrong, from my experience most of the equations involve balancing. so if u've the basics in chem equations u shud do fine :)

What about balancing redox equations... does the real test (I'm assuming you've done it rin~) have much of that on it?

Oh, by equations, I meant formulas. lol. Sorry about the confusion.

bump bump bump

formulas... eg? yea i took it in oct. quite a few redox equations, bjc. if ur taking the nov one u shud be doing the practice tests now. i did kaplan, not much, but quite challenging. one word of advice tho, don be scared by the amount of calculations u need to do. the real tests only require u to do simple calculations eg whole numbers divide by whole numbers.

I'm taking it in December. By formulas, I meant like rate formulas, equilibrium formulas, gas laws, etc.

ok, thanks rin~

Nice to hear the calculations are easy, but I might have to sort out the redox stuff. I'm doing Barron's practice tests at the moment (for Nov).

chillaxin yea it'll be gd if u noe the formulae eg pV = nRT etc.

Is that it? And do you need to know what the gas constant equals too?

that was only an example. u mean like R = 8.314? don think so. but don take my word for it. u really need to do the practice test to get a feel of it.

Well, what formulas usually come up?
