Savannah College of Art and Design ("SCAD")? Other creative career colleges?

<p>I'm having a lot of trouble with information on Savannah College of Art and Design ("SCAD"). The things I read on it are so extreme that I really don't know what to believe. Everyone loathes or loves SCAD, no in between.</p>

<p>I want to make it my number one, but there are a couple issues; the information on it and it being all the way across the country. I live in California, but would happily move for a few years if it meant I was going to an amazing college in a great community.</p>

<p>Are there any other creative career colleges I should consider? Its really hard to find any good information on art schools. I want to major is art (graphic design, sequential art, or illustration) and minor in creative writing and business.</p>

<p>Could anyone help me on this? I'm hopelessly lost.</p>

<p>Hi, I work for SCAD and am also a graduate student here, so I am biased, but I’ve been very happy with my education at SCAD (in photography). The faculty is top notch. </p>

<p>You might want to check out some of the department and student pages or groups on Facebook to get an idea of how students feel about the school. </p>
