Ahh… thanks abs
The August 2004 start date reflects the old timers who were on the old board prior to some server switch, so maybe the fact that those posters began in 2000-2004 means infamy?
Curm, are you calling ME or GA2012 a cheese weasel?
I haven’t had a chance or the patience to read through all of this. I just have a quick question: Is there a way of telling who has given you squares?
Click on “My Control Panel” and scroll down to the bottom of the page. Some people leave a note - “From MaineLonghorn,” for example. If they don’t, there’s no way to tell who the points are from.
somehow this is going to be abused…
If we are to be completely honest with you, we have far surpassed being abused. just sayin’ (check out two threads-“prestigiosity” and “is cc the new facebook?” )
There are 18 pages, sorry didn’t read all of them… Just thought I’d throw in my 2 cents
This is the shortest of the three “discussions”! It has become a sport, a game, a way for stressed out college bound kids parents to kill time/blow off steam. Abuse, but probably not in the way you imagined.
Can somebody link to a red (infamous) poster? or is he or she already banned?
Not sure of whom you refer…?
I mean can you give me the link to the profile of an infamous member?

Hey… there IS a way to opt out of showing your reputation!!!
[College</a> Confidential - FAQ: User Profile Features](<a href=“http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/faq.php?faq=vb3_user_profile#faq_vb3_reputation]College”>http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/faq.php?faq=vb3_user_profile#faq_vb3_reputation)
I actually use the reputation function to send a quick message to someome about their comment versus posting in the thread itself. I could care less if it adds to their reputation, and most often I am glad it does, because i would not be someone to start an argument in a thread anyway. I do like it for that reason.
I don’t have this option on my options page…
