SBUadmissions Help Please!

SBUadmissions Chris, my application status still says my application is received and will be reviewed shortly. All of my friends already received their decisions last week. I sent my transcript and SAT scores two weeks earlier than them, yet they still received their decision before me. Should I be concerned? Should I call the admissions office to confirm that all my application materials were received? I'm concerned because my other transcript sent to Binghamton was lost, and there could be a possibility that the same happened with my Stony Brook materials.

I emailed Stony Brook and they said not to worry .. that's it. What should I do?

Unfortunately, I'm going to tell you the same thing. If you'd like, e-mail me your info directly (christopher.dorso@stonybrook.edu) and I'll see what I can find about your file. Lots of things happen with applications; not everyone is admitted right away. Sometimes we need midyear grades, or updated SATs, or whatever. And yes, it's certainly possible that something got lost in the mail. It happens far more than it probably should, but when you're dealing with the volume of paper that we do, it's a reality.

E-mail me your info and I'll see what I can discover.
