Hello, I plan on playing D1 women’s college soccer in 2019. I will go to an international tournament next week with my club team and film my games. Would really appreciate some tips on what to write in emails to coaches and how to go through this process in the best possible way. Planning on sending out emails in two weeks. In general I have played club U19 div 1 and won the league three times, currently I play d3 club at a senior level if that makes sense. (Only adults, some retired pros, etc.)
What are the chances for “good” scholarships etc? According to a grade translator my american unweighted gpa is 3.5, have been looking at a few big ten schools primarily but also pac 12 and acc.
Thanks!
I think your chances of a scholarship aren’t great because it is getting very late in the recruiting cycle of 2019 players… If you are a very top player, the schools will make room for you, but B1G and Pac12 are very competitive schools.
You need to include a link to your playing video, and all your stats, academic and athletic. Tell them why you want to go to that school.
Thank you for responding. If anyone else has any advice that is good to know please share.
Girls soccer recruiting happens quite early in the US but that doesn’t; mean every spot has been filled yet. I’d contact the coaches at the schools you have an interest in and provide them your academic and athletic credentials and perhaps some video footage if you have any good quality clips. Go from there, good luck.
