So I really like Lehigh... but theres one statistic that quite frankly scares the crap outta me:

* 43% Women
* 57% Men

How noticeable is this? Ughhh... I'd hate to spend my college years at a school where the female to male ratio is almost 1:1.5.... This means that if everyone was paired approximately a THIRD of the guys at any given time would be single (obviously I know this isnt the case...)

Sorry if that sounds odd or creepy... Its not meant to be, but I think its a legitimate concern.

Haha, that’s generally true for a lot of the engineering based schools. Lehigh’s ratio actually seems to be higher than a lot of the other engineering based schools. RPI has about 25% female and 75% males. Now that’s a scary statistic for you.

That’s also one reason why my parents didn’t want me to apply. They’re afraid that there will be swarms of guy chasing any girl they see! Anyways, I’m sure you’ll be fine with the ladies.

The male/female ratio is definately not a problem at Lehigh. My cousin is a hotty junior in a sorority and is juggling two different frat guys! The party reputation appears to be real but she says she also works really hard.

43/57 really isn’t that unbalanced. Caltech is ~35/65; Rose-Hulman is ~20/80.

Understand that 20% of those guys are massive dorks that have no interest in going out. If you are relatively good with the ladies you will be just fine.

43% female is really good imo for a school whose major focus is engineering.
