I was wondering if anyone had done the Scavenger hunt before, and their experiences with it. I’ve never done it before.

Some people love it, some people hate it, some people can take it or leave it. Participation can range from spending an hour helping out your dorm’s team with an item or two or some group activities that interest you, to travelling 1,000 miles in 2-1/2 days in a car with three other people, and all of you are wearing ridiculous costumes, to having it dominate your life and prevent you from sleeping or doing significant school work for a week or more. You can also just hang out at the judgment for a few hours Sunday late morning - afternoon and see some of what people have done.
You can get an idea of what you want by looking at old lists and old youtube videos online and seeing whether it seems like outrageous fun or an outrageous waste of time. (Hint: It’s both. But most people will lean one way or the other.)
Don’t be embarrassed about just dipping a toe in it, or if you take on too much and need to cut back. (If you think the latter may happen, try not to be a member of the road trip squad.) There isn’t a team anywhere that can’t use any help it can get, whether it’s a little or a lot, and there isn’t a team anywhere where everyone delivers everything they said they would. If you don’t like the people running your dorm’s team, join some other team where you do like the people. If you aren’t having fun, stop. If you aren’t doing anything, and wish you were, trust me, your offer to help will not be refused.
