i have 4 classes a semester. 84 minutes. two semesters
congrats everybody!

GOOD JOB! Now I wish I could see my scores...

Dude, david...what happened with the writing? That might hurt ya...

:-P

suce ma queue... english is my second language.

lol.

Did anyone else take the Literature SAT II and think it kind of hard? I got a 730--not too bad, but not great either.

my friend took it, she thought it was kind of hard too. I STILL DONT HAVE SCORES. I'm getting nervous

DONE DONE DONE DONE DONE!! :) Can you tell I'm happy?

when I feel bad about something, it's because I know I did badly. I REALLY SCREWED UP MY TESTS. I don't know what went wrong. I was fine when I took them. The only good score is writing. The other two are so disgusting. I now know what it feels like to hate one's self now. great. Hey, good luck to the rest of you. I know you'll all get in. I'll be so proud of you!

Chidimma, what exactly are your scores? Bad is pretty subjective. I'm sure that we can fix whatever is the problem and remember that standardized testing is just one part of the equation.

REALLY BAD. I'm sorry, but I'm not going to post them. Trust me, it's that bad. And as a Nigerian, I know you have really HIGH standards like I do. Just think of a really really bad score. And think of how annoyed you would be with yourself and how angry you would feel. Okay, I'm going to burst.

Alright, it's ok... I know that we Nigerians have really high standards for ourselves. So, I can only suggest two things. Write the SAT IIs again in November on standby. Unless you were planning on re-writing the SATs on that date... in which case you'll have to decide what is more important.

It's not completely over.

yeah, I was planning on retaking my SAT. I am in such bad shape. I'm crying now. This isn't going well at all. My SAT is fine, now that I think about it. Is there any way to switch them? The late deadlinehas passed...

I think u can switch it, if you call them. But just remember that standardized tests is just one factor of a complex equation.

what does yale place the most emphasis on? I really hope the most is placed on the essay. My essay is my only hope. (I'm trying to make myself feel better) or transcript? sat is weighted, but not AS much (sat II's I mean).... ahhhh I need help

yeah, you're right. I need to move on.

Well, from what i understand... transcript is the most important thing. The SAT IIs just provide a standard, in order to account for inflation etc. So your marks might look a bit less impressive, the variation will depend on how difficult your courses are, your school quality etc.

Your essays really gives personality to your application. So if you have a strong transcript with good essays, your chances are still great.

that's good to know.

alright, I'm going to bed. See y'all later... Don't stress too much Chidimma.

I had a 800 M, 760 V, and a 760 SAT II US History, 750 SAT II Math IC. Are my 720 Literature and 710 Writing highly competative for Yale, or should I retake those two to keep my app. at the top in test scores?

AHHHH... my SAT I score went down 100 points. I knew I shouldn't have taken it over again. Now they're going to see 1480 from last year and 1380 this year. This is not good. WHY WAS I SO STUPID!
