On a separate sheet of paper, please hand write a one-page essay on the pros and cons of your high school educational experience in South Carolina.

I am just wondering what the prompt is aiming at? Does a state determine a high school educational experience? If it helps, I don't attend a public school... would that hinder?

I'm just unsure of how to 'attack'.

to me, the prompt would be more aimed for public school students. you may want to read through the eligibility section again :-).

your high school educational experience can be anything/everything. i do think that if it were me (and i’m way out of high school), that my focus would be on classroom size, diversity of students, teacher’s educational backgrounds and their ability to teach to any and all students. but it can be too that you made great friends, found yourself over the 4 years, had an awesome teacher that helped mentor you and guide you and you want to be a teacher too, etc.

it’s your story… what was important to you about high school? education doesn’t mean just books.

Eligibility is to all students - public, private, even homeschool (!?!?)!

Thanks for that, though. I’m leaning toward how small classes & invested teachers impacted my love for learning, etc. But, I’ll mesh over this awhile. :-)
