I am just wondering if applying for a school's scholarships is the only way to receive them, since I missed the scholarship application deadlines for many schools :( Will a school look at my stats and offer me scholarships even if I didn't apply for them?

Ones with deadlines usually won’t, a few may. Some colleges don’t have separate applications, though, you are considered by applying to the college. Are you talking something specific?

Thanks BrownParent! I know that some schools offer scholarships, but I was not sure if they will be willing to offer me scholarships on top of aid to attract me to their school even if I didn’t apply for the scholarships. Seems like they won’t. That’s a bummer.

What are your stats?

How much merit do you need?

Are you a NMSF?

SAT:2250 (CR 700 M 800 WR 750) UW GPA:3.95 I’m not a NMSF

This is really a school-specific question. As @BrownParents pointed out, some schools require an application and some schools consider you for scholarships as soon as you apply to the school. Usually the school’s financial aid page will talk more about this. Have you already started applying to some schools yet? If you have, you might be able to check and find out if the schools that you have applied to have scholarships. For many schools, if you compare your GPA and SAT/ACT scores to the requirements you can see if there are scholarships that you automatically qualify or may possibly receive solely based on meeting the requirements and being admitted.
