How is this usually handled?

Tomorrow is decision day and I've heard back (no) from only one of the dozens of scholarship opportunities I applied for.

Is it rude to call to try and find out?

I dont want to be pushy.

A lot of scholarship notifications do not come until May. It won’t be rude, but they probably won’t answer you, but I don’t think it can hurt to try. Unfortunately, that is just how it is.

Are there any specific scholarships you are asking about? Many of the big ones have it posted on here or on their websites when they are announced (roughly).

if these are 1 years scholarships, I do not recommend basing your college decision on them. Costs will only increase over the next few years and you don’t want to start out somewhere you can’t afford next year

^ Why not, can’t you always transfer back to your state university?

No, you can’t “always” transfer back to your state university. You have to apply and be accepted, just like now. And there isn’t always room for transfers.

If you base your college decision on “I can always transfer”, you’re heading for a potential nightmare.

An incoming school might not take some of your transfer credits.
