Scholarship.

WOW! That is awesome your daughter received nice money!!! Congrats!!!
I’m hoping for the same die my daughter. She’s LOVED Quinnipiac but it’s so expensive. She’s. Great student and I’ve never really had to ride any of my girls on their girls but now that I see the cost for colleges I want them to get as much $ as they can. My daughter is considering Nursing program or maybe OT program.

Her GPA is at 3.85 right now, Pretty much has all A’s & maybe one B for grades and takes mostly honors classes. She will be taking the new SAT soon and also the ACT… By the end of senior year, Shell have taken 5 Science classes
Honors Bio
Honors Chem
Physics
Home is Anatomy
Marine Biology
And 4 math classes including Prob/Statistics…
curious to know if its hard to get in those programs and if you take all Nursing & OT applicants, and what scores do I need to guarantee I get in.

@millie3girls, my daughter had your daughters profile just 3.83 gpa, 1850 sat, life guard and well rounded course load with AP’s. You cant really say what will get them into Nursing because of the limited slots. typically you are talking about a class of 150 give or take 30 or so. We are in NJ and my D was wait listed at Amherst, we had narrowed it to there and Delaware. She was accepted at UD and given $10k Merit. She is completing her 2nd yr at UD now and loves it. Most state universities will fill from instate the round out with OOS kids @ about 70/30 or so. UD is different in that they fill about 70% from out of state. So if you are Mass Res, then you stand a better shot. I would definitely do the interviews and show lots of interest, the competition for Nursing is intense at these schools. My 2nd D is touring Umass Amherst next week (shes now a junior), she is Architecture Major (again similar resume), so we will see how that goes. Good Luck to your D!!

thats great for your daughter… my daughter wants to look at UD too… we’ll see thank you!! good luck to your junior too!
